Explore Our Research

Our Research Focus

Avera Enterprises conducts applied research and development in engineering and physical sciences, with emphasis on experimental prototypes and proof-of-concept demonstrations that can transition into operational use.

Space Domain Awareness

Our primary research focus. In partnership with xOrbita, we are developing AVERA-ATLAS (Advanced Tracking and Location Analysis System)—an experimental prototype for orbital debris detection and conjunction assessment.

Research areas include Initial Orbit Determination algorithms (Gauss, Herrick-Gibbs), collision probability calculations, and multi-sensor fusion for space surveillance.

Applied Machine Learning

Building on validated "First in DoD" achievements at the U-2 Federal Laboratory, we research edge AI deployment, containerized microservices architectures, and human-AI teaming for resource-constrained environments.

Our AVERA platform provides a validated methodology for deploying AI models from tactical edge devices to cloud environments.

Future Research Expansion

Led by our Chief Scientist Alexandra Avera, we are positioned to expand research capabilities into new domains within engineering and physical sciences as opportunities emerge.

Our research methodology emphasizes experimental validation, physics-based modeling, and transition-ready documentation.

Strategic Partnerships

We collaborate with specialized partners to deliver comprehensive research solutions.

xOrbita Partnership

Avera Enterprises has partnered with xOrbita to develop AVERA-ATLAS, an experimental collision risk assessment prototype for Space Domain Awareness applications.

This collaboration combines xOrbita's space domain technical expertise with Avera's validated software architecture methodology to address critical SDA challenges.

Joint Research Capabilities

  • Initial Orbit Determination (Gauss & Herrick-Gibbs methods)
  • Keplerian orbital mechanics and propagation
  • NASA-standard collision probability (Pc) calculations
  • Neural network-based debris detection (YOLOv8)
  • Analytical Planning Stack (APS) workflow automation
